Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

In short: Kyool apps and games do not ask you to create an account, do not show adverts, and do not use analytics or tracking. Your scores, progress and settings stay on your own device. We do not collect, sell or share your personal information.

The only third parties involved are the app stores that process purchases, and the services listed in section 4.

1. Who we are

This policy applies to the apps and games published by Kyool Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17432187), with its registered office at Blackheath Grove, London, SE3 0DG. For data protection purposes Kyool Ltd is the controller. You can contact us at contact@kyool.com.

It covers our apps and games on iOS and Android, including GCSE Biology, GCSE Chemistry, Flickers, Musiclue, Choppers and Mythical Creatures, any future Kyool apps, and the games on kyool.com.

2. Information we collect

We do not collect personal information through our apps. We do not ask for your name, email address, location, contacts, photos or microphone, and there are no user accounts.

3. Information stored on your device

Our apps save some information on your device so that the app works as you would expect. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. It may include:

If you uninstall the app, this information is deleted with it. You can also clear your progress at any time from the app's Settings screen (certificates are kept separately until you uninstall the app).

4. Third-party services

App Store and Google Play purchases. The GCSE revision apps offer a one-off in-app purchase to unlock all topics. Payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see or store your card or payment details. To confirm that a purchase has been made, and to let you restore it on a new device, we use RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier, your purchase and transaction information, and basic device and country information. It does not receive your name or contact details from us. RevenueCat's own privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Fonts. Some of our games load fonts from Google Fonts when the app or page opens. This means your device connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and device details as part of that request. See policies.google.com/privacy.

Our own website and servers. Some games, and some artwork within them, load from kyool.com. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, date and time, and the page requested) for security and to keep the service running. We do not use these logs to identify or track individual players.

We do not use advertising networks, analytics or tracking tools, and we do not allow third parties to track you through our apps.

5. Sharing features

Some apps let you share a result, a challenge or a certificate. When you tap Share, your phone's own share menu opens and you choose where it goes. What you share is up to you, and it is handled by the app you share it with, under that app's own privacy policy. We do not receive a copy.

6. Children

Our revision apps are used by school-age students. Because we do not collect personal information and have no accounts, adverts or tracking, there is nothing for young users to hand over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. If you are a parent or carer and have a concern, please contact us.

7. Why we use information (UK GDPR)

Because we collect almost no personal data, there is little to process. Where information is handled, for example purchase verification, it is because it is necessary to provide the product you bought (contract) and to keep our service secure and working (legitimate interests).

8. International transfers

Some of the services in section 4, such as RevenueCat and Google, may process information outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where this happens, they rely on recognised safeguards for transfers of personal data.

9. How long we keep information

We do not hold personal information ourselves. Information on your device is kept until you reset or uninstall the app. Purchase records held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat are kept under their own retention policies.

10. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over any personal data held about you, including the right to access it, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and to complain. To ask about your data, email contact@kyool.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change what our apps do, for example by adding accounts, analytics or advertising, we will update this policy before the change takes effect and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be shown within the apps.
